Are your potato chips poisoning you? Frito-Lay products found inundated with glyphosate

According to agricultural researcher Charles Benbrook,Ph.D., 1.6 billion kilograms of Roundup have been spewed globally since 1971. (One kilogram is approximately 2.2 pounds.) With more than 90% of USA corn grown from genetically engineered seeds, there’s little doubt that, whoever’s crunching corn chips that aren’t organic, are munching glyphosate in every bite. A Frito-Lay product fits the category, as Natural News reports.

“Recent tests conducted on Frito-Lay’s SunChips product revealed the presence of GM Bt corn, which comprised 100% of the corn used in the product. Bt corn, as you’ll probably recall, creates its own insecticide inside every cell of the plant, which can’t be washed off. . .

Feeding studies on mammals have found that Bt corn causes immune system disturbances, blood biochemistry disturbances, male reproductive organ damage, disturbances in the functioning of the digestive system and signs of immune system disturbances, blood biochemistry disturbances, male reproductive organ toxicity. Proteins from Bt corn, which supposedly break down in the digestive tract, have also been found circulating in the blood of both pregnant and non-pregnant women.”

But aren’t Sun Chips supposed to be healthier? Not exactly. As reported by Natural News, the “levels of glyphosate in SunChips averaged 0.14 parts per million (ppm) or 0.14 milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg).”

These numbers seem somewhat insignificant, but don’t be so sure. It is when you recall the work of the late Argentinian scientist, Professor Andrés Carrasco, that these numbers become more clear. Carrasco led a group of international researchers in a groundbreaking study on glyphosate’s effects on all life forms. According to Global Research, the Carrasco group discovered that, “Glyphosate. . . causes malformations in frog and chicken embryos at doses far lower than those used in agricultural spraying . . . Carrasco found malformations in embryos injected with 2.03 mg/kg glyphosate.”
